3rd February 2010
Although we've worked with wireless camera systems and EVS before now, last week was the first time on location with a small crew.
The cameraman used a Sony EX3 which recorded straight to a hard drive mounted on the camera and because of the intensity of the day, we didn't start downloading the files until 9pm after the shoot was finished.
The results were impressive. Picture quality was filmic and very good using 35mm adaptor and lenses and after downloading the Sony XDCam Final Cut Pro ingest software, post was a dream with no video or audio rendering required.
Although, I did think to myself on more than one occasion between the shoot and the edit suite "Shit, where are the rushes tapes?"
